Envirowise in partnership with Chemicals Northwest is offering a unique opportunity for companies to understand and learn about the tools and techniques involved in achieving resource efficiency. The event is taking place at 9.30 - 15.30, at Haydock Park on the 15th May 2008.
The presentations will be delivered by environmental specialists, and by North West companies who will give practical examples of how cost savings have been achieved. There will also be an opportunity to participate in interactive workshops covering the latest technologies (toolkits), available support organisations in North West, and managing effective water use and effluent treatment.
ITS' RiTA Utilities & Energy Monitoring System Demonstration
Industrial Technology Systems Ltd (ITS) will be demonstrating its RiTA Utilities & Energy Monitoring System at the Achieving Resource Efficiency Event.
ITS' Utilities & Energy Monitoring System monitors electricity, gas, water, air or steam within a building or plant, and logs critical information, e.g. where the energy and utilities are being consumed.
The software sits on a PC and acquires the data from monitoring devices. Using the data collated the system can identify high consumption areas where improvement is required, and the logged information can be used to compare with supplier’s billing figures to challenge overcharging. Historical reporting and analysis techniques can then be used to identify and improve inefficiencies throughout the site.
Acceptance on the ETL indicates that ITS has been independently assessed against stringent energy efficiency standards. Companies that pay corporation tax or income tax who purchase the product, may qualify for 100% first-year Enhanced Capital Allowance and gain up-front tax relief.

The event is aimed at all businesses and companies within the chemical using sector, and will focus on helping you to identify, manage and achieve resource efficiency. It will be of particular use to process managers, environmental managers and officers, senior executives and engineers.
