ITS Exhibits at NEPIC REACH Event

ITS will be exhibiting at NEPIC’s seminar on May 21 in Durham, organised in partnership with Aker Solutions, which will highlight the EU regulation for the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH).
REACH came into force on June 1 2007 and aims to protect human health and the environment from risks associated with the use of chemicals. The seminar, REACH into the Future, at the Ramside Hall Hotel from 2.00-6.30pm, is relevant to anyone who manufactures, imports or uses chemicals, and places strong emphasis on the fact that everyone is required to understand the implications of the regulations and ensure full compliance.
The event will help businesses understand their obligations and provide advice on when and how to get relevant information, and what steps to take to meet the responsibilities, including meeting crucial deadlines for pre-registration and registration.
NEPIC suggests that key delegates would include site directors, managing directors, SH&E managers, compliance managers and anyone whose job function requires them to ensure regulatory compliance.
The seminar will cover health and safety information, consultancy services, an introduction to REACH, first hand experiences of REACH by a chemical manufacturer and a downstream user of chemicals, REACH Services with Aker Solutions, and question and answer sessions.
