ITS Tutor's Experience
ITS’ Regulatory Training Manager, Alan Benbow, has developed extensive knowledge of this specialist area from 22 years’ industry experience working with Johnson & Johnson, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
His engineering technical background led to training at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, providing the operational focus to meet the ever increasing regulatory demands placed on pharmaceutical manufacturers. Professional training knowledge and skills were obtained whilst working to meet the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s National Standards.
During his 14 years at Wyeth, Alan was involved in a wide range of activities including, at operational levels, developing operators, craftsmen, and technicians; he was also responsible for training and assessing operational employees to NVQ standards. From a mid-management perspective, training and development initiatives included facilitating continuous improvement projects and best practices, and receiving internal recognition awards.
Alan was part of a senior management project responsible for global compliance. His role included visits to North America, Canada and European plants to share his knowledge in compliance. He has also won awards for his contribution towards the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and NVQ training.
During his eight years at Industrial Technology Systems Ltd (ITS), Alan has successfully delivered a wide range of open and onsite training programmes including: GAMP®, Validation, GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, How to Write SOPs, NVQ Assessor Training and Train the Trainer. With extensive experience in the training of equipment suppliers, medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical related employees, Alan also provides bespoke training courses, designed to meet the specific needs of each customer.
