ITS Sponsors Hole at Maryport Golf Club

25 June 2012

ITS customers looking to unwind with an enjoyable round of golf will find one of the holes at Maryport Golf Club in Cumbria particularly familiar, because ITS has sponsored one of the club’s new sandstone tee markers.

For three years ITS’ name and logo will be displayed at the golf hole and help contribute to the financing of this vibrant and historic club on the picturesque Solway coast.

Maryport Golf Club began in 1905 and is now a well established 18-hole course, part links and part parkland.  It is located off the B5300 just a mile north of the town of Maryport, famous for its origins as a Roman form and part of Hadrian’s Wall’s coastal defence line.

The club is situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and offers visitors and members a combination of excellent golf and breathtaking views across the Solway Firth amidst the panorama of the Scottish coastline and Lake District fells.

“We are delighted to be sponsoring one of Maryport Golf Club’s new tee markers,” Managing Director Malcolm Knott said.  “Contributing to the running of the club whilst promoting ITS is a very satisfying outcome, and I can’t wait to find some time, and good weather, to visit and play ‘our’ hole for myself.”
