Touch Rugby Event – A Success for ITS and the Butterwick Hospice

02 August 2018

ITS Ltd hosted a fantastic Touch Rugby Family Fun Day Event at Mowden Park Rugby Club, on Saturday 9th June 2018 in aid of Butterwick Hospice. The rugby teams taking part included ITS Ltd, two teams from LJJ Ltd and Step Forward Tees Valley in association with MFC Foundation.

Alongside the Touch Rugby, we had entertainment including bouncy castles, punch and judy shows, magic shows, raffles and a whole lot more. Employees from ITS were involved in organising and running the event and the company’s directors, Malcolm Knott and Graham Ives spent most of the day getting wet in the stocks.

Thank you to Peter Barron MBE for hosting the day and well done to everyone involved! Touch rugby was brilliant play from all the teams and a special thank you to the winning LLJ Ltd’s team who donated their £200 prize money to Butterwick Hospice.

All proceeds raised were 100% donated to Butterwick and a grand total of £1,957 was raised.

ITS is a corporate partner of Butterwick and the charity is very close to the hearts of ITS’ employees. The Butterwick Hospice currently has three sites in Stockton and Bishop Auckland, providing support to adults and children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. The sites provide 24-hour care to 2,000 patients across the region. The Butterwick Hospice relies purely on donations to fund its work.

We would like to thank everyone who donated tombola and raffle prizes and everyone who attended and showed their support. We hope to see you next year at ITS’ annual event in aid of Butterwick. Watch this space for further details.
