ITS Joins the Energy Industries Council

ITS has joined the Energy Industries Council (EIC), the UK’s premier Trade Association for suppliers of major goods and services to the global energy market.

The EIC serves members from a broad sector base:  the oil, gas, petrochemical and chemical industries; power generation, transmission and distribution; nuclear waste treatment and storage; environmental protection; coal processing and water; waste water and sewage treatment.

Membership of the EIC brings access to business intelligence, world markets and technical, regional and marketing expertise, as well as prestigious invitations to business and social networking events.  Its Projects Database is a unique source of information on prime energy projects worldwide, collated by staff from the organisation’s offices in London, Aberdeen, Billingham, Houston, Singapore, Dubai and Rio de Janiero. 

Robust support is provided to members to empower them to market their products in both the UK marketplace and around the world, using the EIC’s unparalleled contacts and industry knowledge, such as help with registering as a supplier and sourcing overseas agents. 

Regular networking events provide a further outlet for sharing information and best practice, and members are encouraged to attend regular forums.  The diverse energy sector membership includes contractors, manufacturers and suppliers, financial and legal organisations.  

Each regional office arranges events, including presentations from major contractors and operators, trade missions and exhibitions; the EIC is in the top 20% of UK Trade & Investment sponsors.  Technical back-up is provided via workshops and seminars, addressing evolving technical in topics such as EU Directives and International Standards.
