ITS Joins the West Cumbria Business Cluster

Industrial Technology Systems Ltd (ITS) has become a member of the West Cumbria Business Cluster and is committed to working with fellow organisations to support the local economy and provide the region with a sustainable future.

WCBC was founded in 2003 by a small number of individuals concerned by the impact the decommissioning of civil nuclear facilities would have on West Cumbria’s supply chain and economy.  Today more than 140 businesses, from SMEs to global corporations, are members of the thriving private sector-led Cluster, creating an impressive list of world class, innovative and highly competitive companies working to achieve a common goal.

Through collaborative working, WCBC’s founders established a structure that has brought multiple benefits: increased employment and training opportunities, corporate growth – locally, nationally and internationally - and a thriving regional infrastructure.

ITS’ membership of the WCBC will enhance its business knowledge and acumen, and mean that our voice will be heard by key decision makers.  By sharing skills, experience and market intelligence with fellow members, ITS’ customers and suppliers will reap the benefits through a value added service.

ITS will be represented at key local, regional and national levels, in conjunction with local partners, through a range of charitable, academic and community organisations, as well as under Britain’s Energy Coast™ banner, a £2 billion package of regeneration projects designed to establish the West Coast of Cumbria as a major national hub for low carbon and renewable energy generation.
