Oracle Qualification for John

Industrial Technology Systems Ltd's (ITS) technical specialist John Horbury, has become a certified Oracle engineer, providing independent assurance to customers of his expertise in setting up Oracle database systems.

The database administrator qualification involved detailed studying of how to install, configure and tune an Oracle database, and an introduction to backing up and restoring.  The course culminated in a computer-based two-hour exam.

“I am very pleased to have added this Oracle qualification to my Microsoft DBA,” he said.  “Hopefully, this will give our customers confidence in the company’s ability to configure and support database applications using the two major database systems on the market today.”

John is also soon to be taking the take the final exam in his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) qualification.
