The complexity of today’s marketplace means that manufacturers are required to produce smaller batches of products with more product variations, quickly and efficiently. Industrial Technology Systems Ltd (ITS) offers a range of Batch Control Systems, designed and implemented using the ISA-88 standard, to produce product batches repeatedly and consistently with minimum costs.
The ISA-88 standard provides terminology and models to simplify and improve the design, operation and performance of batch plants. The standard separates the recipes from the process control and production equipment, enabling the same equipment to be used for different stages of the process or to make different products, allowing staff to change and create recipes quickly and easily without software changes.
ITS’ Batch Control Systems provide automated batch management including recipe development, batch management and execution, production scheduling, equipment performance monitoring, production history and material tracking features. The Batch Control Systems are designed to improve batch scheduling, batch consistency and the automatic collection of real-time, reliable and accurate batch event data.
Batch Control Systems improve quality through improvements in recipe management, resulting in reductions in batch-to-batch variability. With the flexibility that the ISA-88 standard provides, manufacturers achieve increases in yield and greater process flexibility, enabling them to minimise the time to market for new products.
ITS has been using legacy batch control languages such as Cquin, Azon, Monitor and Norbatch since 1996, performing projects in the UK, India and Singapore. If you need to develop, support or replace your legacy systems, ITS’ team has the skills to meet your needs.
ITS has experience in the design and implementation of the following Batch Control Systems:
| • AspenTech Batch.21 | • Norbatch |
| • CitectSCADA Batch | • Rockwell RSBatch |
| • GE Fanuc Proficy Batch Execution | • Sequencia OpenBatch |
| • Wonderware InBatch |
