The RiTA Utilities & Energy Monitoring System, is designed to automatically measure and record real-time utilities and energy usage including electricity, water, steam, air and gas.
The system enables users to access a range of real-time and historical data including Temperature, Pressure, Flow, Voltage (Phase to Phase, Phase to Neutral), Current per Phase, Frequency, Power Factor, Power (kW, kVA, kVar), Max Demand (Kw), Peak Demand (Kw) and Energy (kWh, kVar). With this data companies can gain an accurate understanding of their usage patterns.
The electricity monitoring system module meets Government-set energy efficiency criteria to qualify Industrial Technology Systems Ltd (ITS) for inclusion on the Energy Technology List (ETL). As an ETL listed company, customers may be eligible to claim an Enhanced Capital Allowance for their energy saving technology investment.
Analysis Tools & Alert Features
RiTA’s analytical toolset provides users with the ability to produce graphical trend reports. Any irregularities in usage patterns are highlighted in the graph and the user can examine the data to pinpoint the exact date and time to the second, for further investigation.
Temperature and production data can be automatically acquired by the system and regression analyses can be performed to demonstrate the correlation between these variables and energy or utility usage. This data can be displayed in histograms, tabular formats and regression charts.
RiTA also helps companies to manage and improve their consumption by providing alerts for usage values outside set limits.

The ECA scheme was introduced to encourage companies to invest in energy improvement technologies. As an ETL listed product, eligible purchases and purchasers of RiTA are able to claim 100% first year tax relief. The ECA explains, “If your business pays corporation tax at 30%, every £1,000 spent on qualifying equipment would reduce its tax bill in the year of purchase by £300. In contrast, for every £1,000 spent, the generally available capital allowance for spending on plant and machinery would reduce your business’s tax bill in the year of purchase by £75. In other words, an ECA can provide a cash flow boost of £225 for every £1,000 it spends in the year of purchase”.
