Vision Sensors

Vision Sensors

Vision sensors are standalone, high-performance vision systems used to inspect products and components in a wide range of industries. The compact cameras include a powerful image sensor, processor, lighting controls, lens, input/output and ethernet connectivity. Vision sensors are ideal for mounting on robots, machinery or production lines, where space is limited.

With a vision sensor, inspections can be performed solely by the camera without the need for an external PC, and the pass or fail results are transmitted automatically. Once a vision sensor has been programmed and a defect is detected, the results are passed to the device or equipment and the camera can stop the machine or activate the reject mechanism, without the need for operator intervention.

By integrating vision sensors with PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems, Industrial Technology Systems Ltd's (ITS) team has helped customers to reduce product changeover times, simplify operator parameter changes, gather and analyse accurate data to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness and carry out SPC, thus resulting in significant improvements in overall production performance.

ITS has extensive experience in designing and implementing the following vision sensors in automotive, food and beverage, packaging, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries.
