Day 1

• Understand the different presentation requirements in manufacturing
  • Target the areas which are most appropriate
• Practice delivering a short presentation on a topic of the learner’s own choice
  • Specifically targeted at a work based topic
• Examine the effects of voice, nerves and body language during presentations
  • Nerves are natural so learn how to control them
• Identify the consequences of failing to plan properly when delivering a presentation
  • What can go wrong during presentations?
• Develop using pictorial information and the use of language to enhance presenting
  • Using visual information to best effect

Day 2

• Understand how to manage facilities, equipment, audience and self to present information effectively
  • Including the different physical areas and restrictions associated with delivery in the manufacturing arena
• Create objectives to meet the aim of the presentation and audience
  • Keeping objectives specifically targeted to the course aim
• Design a work based topical presentation in a logical format to suit the audience’s needs
  • Getting your message across as effectively as possible
• Practice presenting, developing confidence and own style for best effect
  • Practice developing your own style
• Reflect and plan for future presenting in the workplace
  • Enable the transfer of learning back to the workplace to practice and develop further
