The course offers an overview of the ISA S95 standard and helps the learner to visualise the purpose of the individual functional modules that constitute the various forms of manufacturing system, and how they interact with each other. The learner will understand how manufacturing systems bridge the gap between corporate systems and equipment control, and identify the data interchanges involved at the ‘manufacturing/corporate boundary’ and the ‘manufacturing/equipment control boundary’.
The learner will be taken through a practical process of applying the standard, demonstrating how to demystify the abstract form of the S95 standard into common sense documentation. The learner will understand how to use the standard, and develop the levels of detail required to produce a practical set of user requirements for prospective manufacturing systems. The S95 training course also provides guidance on how to identify and collate the detailed information required for full integration, from corporate systems through to equipment control via manufacturing systems. |
