Course Aims:	The course aims to provide engineers and technicians with the knowledge and skills to enable them to diagnose, fault-find and maintain Siemens S7 PLCs, in a safe and competent manner.
Course Content:	Hardware architecture of the S7 range of controllers  Siemens S7 system addressing  Data format and blocks  Introduction to blocks; OBs; FBs; FCs; SFCs; SFBs  Introduction to programming formats; LAD; STL; FDB  Project structure  Hardware configuration  Communicating with the PLC  Downloading and uploading PLC programs  Online monitoring PLC programs  Programming using LAD; STL; FDB  Siemens S7 basic instruction set; Relay; compare ; maths; data moves  Instruction set - Relay, maths, move, compare and logic functions  Using and creating program documentation  Copying and backing up folders  Symbolic notation  Diagnostic information and module information used for fault finding  Data monitoring and modifying variables  Forcing facilities  Archiving and retrieving projects
