Mitsubishi FX and Q Series PLC Training

ITS has designed a range of PLC training courses covering the following key modules: Basic PLC Overview, Introduction to PLCs and Programming Simulator, Advanced Programming based on Mitsubishi PLCs using bespoke live training equipment including Program Creation and Hardware Configuration, Creating Programs, Ladder, Uploading Programs, Comments and Statements, Module Information, CPU Properties and Parameters, Monitoring Variables, Timers, Counters, Data Blocks, Mathematical Functions, User Defined Data Types, Program Storage, Archiving and Retrieval, Network View, Cross References, Program Faults, Using an Interrupt and Data Files.

The PLC courses provide the learners with the skills and knowledge to enable them to diagnose, fault-find and maintain the systems, in a safe and competent manner. The courses are delivered using presentations and interactive practical sessions. Throughout the 4-day, 6-day and 10-day courses the learners participate and practice using a training system, while the trainer reinforces the learning with examples depending on the course chosen.

  • The Introduction to PLCs (2 Day) Training Course aims to provide engineers and maintenance technicians with a basic understanding of a PLC operation in a process control environment. Learners will gain knowledge in the hardware structure of a PLC and how it operates in the field using inputs and outputs. An overview of PLC programming will be demonstrated so learners can understand the capabilities of a PLC. This is not a practical course but live PLCs will be demonstrated.
  • The Introduction to PLCs and Basic PLC Programming (4 Day) Training Course aims to provide engineers and maintenance technicians with a basic understanding of a PLC operation in a process control environment. Learners will gain knowledge in the hardware structure of a PLC and how it operates in the field using inputs and outputs. Learners will have access to a PLC simulator where exercises will require them to develop software, download, debug and fault find. Software programming will include inputs, outputs, timers, counters etc.
  • The Advanced Mitsubishi FX and Q Series PLC (6 Day) Training Course is based on the Mitsubishi GX Developer software. It has been designed for learners with an understanding of PLCs and covers the more advanced features of current Mitsubishi PLC products including Mitsubishi FX and Q Series PLCs. Concentrating on the applied instruction set, delegates will be able to use the mathematical functions, displaying results and interfacing with analogue units and HMIs. Delegates will be given many practical exercises to solve using bespoke training equipment. Learners will also be introduced to HMI software and communication protocols. The course covers number formats, bits, bytes, words, double words binary, HEX, octal, floating point and integers.
  • The Introduction to PLCs and Mitsubishi FX and Q Series Advanced (10 Day) Training Course aims to provide engineers and maintenance technicians with a basic understanding of a PLC operation in a process control environment. The course starts with a basic introduction and provides the learner with advanced programming skills. No prior knowledge of PLCs is required. Learners will gain knowledge in the hardware structure of a PLC and how it operates in the field using inputs and outputs. Learners will have access to a PLC simulator where exercises will require them to develop software, download, debug and fault find. Programming will include inputs, outputs, timers, counters etc. Based around the GX Developer software, the course will run through the advanced features of current Mitsubishi PLC products including Mitsubishi FX and Q Series PLCs. Concentrating on the applied instruction set, delegates will be able to use the mathematical functions, displaying results and interfacing with analogue units and HMIs. Delegates will be given many practical exercises to solve using bespoke training equipment. Delegates will also be introduced to HMI software and communication protocols.
