Vision Systems - Project Engineer - Middlesbrough
ITS is looking for a project engineer to join its vision system teams in Middlesbrough.
Who are we looking for...
Engineers with a passion for solving problems, engineers who take responsibility for delivering great results, who pay attention to detail but drive for progress, who understand what “success looks like” and are not afraid to put themselves out there for the benefit or our customers and ITS as a whole.
Engineers who want to develop a long-term career with ITS. Engineers who want to be challenged to improve every day, who want to be given the chance to develop into higher level positions and gain additional qualifications and certification. Simply, engineers who want to be the best.
Who are we?
ITS is a specialist systems integrator that provides high quality, project-based system solutions to customers in several industry sectors around the world. We aim to be the best in our field through a combination of great values and behaviours, and high technical skill levels, delivering a positive proactive journey and experience for our customers and staff.
Our people are key to our success and as such, we all try hard to demonstrate our company values every day. That means we need great people who want to be part of a growing business, widening our customer base and enhancing our customers experience and their expectations of us, by solving their problems on a daily basis.
...at ITS will involve the design and implementation of non-contact vision systems to inspect products on production lines for quality, size, shape, position etc.
You will be working with a range of industries and companies such as AstraZeneca, AB World Foods, Domino UK, TRW Automotive, and Sellafield Ltd. All of them require state of the art solutions and first class service.
A “can do” positive attitude is required with the desire to extend your skill set, take on board new challenges and help the company grow its reputation and customer base.
You will be involved in all aspects of projects from the initial requirements’ gathering, proposal production and the specification through to the design, development and installation of the solutions.
You will provide support to senior members of the engineering teams in ensuring the successful completion of projects using a variety of vision system technology. You will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are conducted in line with the company Quality Management System.
You will be responsible for ensuring that customer interfaces on related projects are maintained and developed in a highly professional manner that enhance the reputation of ITS. This may include providing engineering manpower support to customers under Service Level Agreements.
Applicants must have experience or an education in industrial automation, an interest in integrating machine vision systems and good fault-finding skills.
Engineers with the drive and ability to adapt to new technologies quickly and efficiently will definitely be considered for the positions.
Ideally the successful candidate will be confident with VB.NET and will have an understanding of interfacing vision system equipment with PLCs and PCs, although this is not essential.
What’s in it for you?
We’ll offer you a competitive salary.
Your benefits will include health insurance, a company laptop, a workplace pension and some flexible working hours with an early Friday finish.
We would like to help your professional development and we will support you and mentor you through training and keeping up to date with regulations, to ensure that you help us provide an excellent service to our customers and maintain a happy working environment.
