ITS Ltd has been awarded a certificate of compliance by the Cyber Essentials Scheme. Cyber security is an important element in ITS’ day-to-day activities.
Malcolm Knott, Managing Director explains, “It is important that we consider cyber security not only in the way we operate and interact with our clients and suppliers, but also in the systems that we supply to our customers.”
The Certificate verifies that ITS’ procedures, processes and ICT defences have been assessed and meet the Cyber Essentials implementation profile [BIS/14/696/1.5].
The Government launched “Cyber Essentials”. The scheme’s aim is to demonstrate capability in relation to cyber risk management and control. ITS’ compliance is a positive step towards the company achieving ISO 27001 accreditation. Although ITS is not currently accredited to ISO 27001, we have a number of procedures and attributes which are in line with the ISO 27001 objectives and controls.
“The implementation of an information security management system has been driven by ITS’ corporate strategy and client security requirements. We have adapted and improved our processes over the years and this has been an important step to us securing more business in highly regulated industries including the nuclear, medical device and pharmaceutical sectors. We are committed to cyber security and will continue to keep up to date with the latest developments and initiatives. The accreditation is an important step in our journey to provide cyber security services both internally and to our clients.” Malcolm Knott, Managing Director
